Of Régence style, each with rectangular back and seat covered in close-nailed silk and metal-thread embroidered fabric with fruiting and scrolling foliage, the seats centred by a cartouche of birds, the backs by armorial devices, the husk-trailed foliate arms with scallop-shells to the end, above a shaped apron centred by a scallop-shell within C-scrolls and trellis-pattern panels, the cabriole legs headed by a further scallop-shell and terminating in foliate scrolls, joined by a scrolling X-shaped stretcher centred by a flowerhead, one chair inscribed 4479, 76117 & 6/T, the other 76117 & 5/T (2)
