The pediment with baluster finials decorated with a central shaped cartouche with a pastoral scene and flanked by cartouches of birds, above two arched glazed doors enclosing a pale blue-painted foliate interior with two shelves, the angles decorated with Arcadian landscapes, the middle-section with a writing-slope and shaped cartouche of a pastoral scene and with further cartouches of birds to the spandrels, enclosing a fitted interior with four pigeon-holes and four drawers, the lower section with moulded serpentine top, decorated conformingly and with three panelled drawers, the canted angles above stepped bun-feet, two panes cracked, stamped three times Made in Italy
