A Meissen two-handled pot-pourri vase and a cover
Circa 1750
Of baluster form with pierced shoulder and high foot, painted with gallants and companions in landscape vignettes after Watteau, the handles and gadrooned foot applied with flowering branches, the shoulder moulded with flowerheads and the centres pierced, the cover painted with flowers and with blue carnation finial (base of one handle restored, restoration to two flowers on handles and one stem on base, chips to flowers and foliage, rubbing to gilding and slight flaking to enamels on shoulder), blue crossed swords mark
