A pair of Roman gold pendant earrings
2nd-3rd Century A.D.
Each with wire hoop mounted with a convex shield suspended with a tapering tubular pendant terminating in a sphere and granule, 1½in. (3.7cm.) long av.; another pair, similar, with long gold wire pendant terminating in a sheet gold tube, 1¾in. (4.5cm.) long av.; and another pair with wire hoop suspended with a hollow ribbed sphere, a blue glass 'berry' bead and a blue, white and amber layered bead with domed gold cap, 2¼in. (5.7cm.) long av., all 2nd-3rd Century A.D., both pairs adapted for wear with modern ear hoops (6)
