A SILVER SHIBAYAMA VASE AND COVER
With signature Ikkin koku, late 19th Century
The lobed body lightly engraved and decorated with flowerheads in silver wire and cloisonne, six shaped kinji panels decorated in Shibayama style with flowers, a heron, a long-tailed bird and pigeons, the raised feet formed as bamboo stems, three handles formed baku heads and a domed cover similarly decorated and surmounted with an eagle opening its wings, (some minor old damage)
