2° (472 x 360mm). Engraved title, dedication, head- and tailpieces, 162 plates only (of 163, numbered I-CLXII) of statues by Randon, Aquila, Dorigni and others. (Neat repairs to inner margins of title and dedication, plate 35 soiled, plates 36-37 slightly stained.) Contemporary English speckled calf gilt, spine in seven compartments with raised bands, red morocco lettering-piece in one, the others with various small tools surrounding centrally-placed elephant crest, g.e. (foot of spine chipped, upper joint tender). Provenance: Sir Andrew Fountaine (binding).
