An Apulian bell-krater
Early 4th Century B.C.
Side A: A nude youth on the right seated on his himation, looks into a mirror held in his right hand, holding a staff in his left, a draped woman on the left moves towards him holding a cista with patterned bands and a wreath, a vertical scrolling volute between them
Side B: Two youths facing each other over a low pillar, each wearing long himations, the youth on the left holding out a strigil, the other holding a staff
A laurel leaf frieze under the rim, both scenes with groundline of meander with central crossed square, details in added yellow, repaired
