An Attic 'plastic' lekythos
4th Century B.C.
The front modelled in the form of a female musician, holding a tambourine in her left hand which she strikes with her right, wearing a chiton and himation, her hair drawn up in a chignon with locks falling either side of her face on to her shoulders, standing on a spool base, remains of white slip with blue, pink, red and ochre colouring, a black-glazed lekthos mouth and handle above, the front of the neck decorated with a rosette, neck repaired
