A LOUIS XVI ORMOLU-MOUNTED PLUM-PUDDING MAHOGANY CONSOLE-DESSERTE
The moulded flared rectangular brêche violette marble top above a gadrooned and husk-enriched moulded edge and panelled frieze, enclosing one long drawer and with a spring-loaded shaped drawer to each side, flanked by turned tapering brass-fluted columnar supports with egg-and- dart spirally-fluted beaded capitals, the panelled back supporting two further ties, one mounted with tasselled drapery swags, above a moulded plinth with mille-raies and beaded panels and egg-and-dart turned tapering toupie feet with ormolu sabots, restorations, partially remounted, the marble repaired, with oblitered stencil and label inscribed in chalk 'E8654'
