A WELL-CARVED PALE GRAYISH-GREEN AND BROWN JADE DOUBLE-GOURD WATER VESSEL
17TH/18TH CENTURY

Well hollowed and carved in high relief around the sides with a bat and the leafy vine which continues underneath to form the base, with twisted tendrils spanning the waisted opening in the top of the vessel, the softly polished stone of pale grayish-green color with areas of pale brown and some black speckling on the underside
