A group of three netsuke comprising a boy resting on the back of a reclining elephant, signature indistinct, a boy covering himself with a lion mask and cloak so that the netsuke appears to be a seated shishi viewed face-on, unsigned, and a puppy resting on a shell, signed Gyokuzan, age cracks--1¾ to 2in. (4.4 to 5.2cm.) long (3)
