Of oval section lacquered in gold and silver takamaki-e on a roiro ground applied with gold hirame with a waterfall, hills and trees on one side and with a river, boat and banks of flowering trees on the other, additional details in hiramaki-e, kirigane and aogai, the interiors of the cases nashiji; fitted with an ivory manju netsuke inlaid in soft metal, horn and colored ivory with a horse under a willow tree, signed on an inlaid mother of pearl plaque Shibayama and a coral bead ojime--3in. (7.7cm.) high, interior chips, slight edge wear and minor kirigane losses
