Of oval section decorated in gold takamaki-e and inlaid mother-of-pearl with two shishi on one side and with the figure of Monju Bosatsu astride a Buddhist lion on the other, reserved on a brown-black ground, the interior cases nashiji; fitted with an ivory netsuke carved in the form of a shishi, signed Koremitsu and a bead ojime--3 1/8in. (7.8cm.) high, some surface scratches
