The long, oval-section inro decorated in takamaki-e, hirame, kirigane, roiro and kimpun with a continuous scene of the Fox Wedding, the foxes making their way in a procession through the pine forest by lanternlight, their cloaks rendered in black or red lacquer and their bodies and costumes gold lacquer with different patterns, some details in silver, the trees, hills and background gold and the interior cases nashiji; fitted with a gold lacquer fruit-cluster netsuke and an amber bead ojime--4in. (10cm.) high
