The small inro of rectangular shape decorated with a roiro-nuri ground and with a gold owl, rendered in takamaki-e, perched on a fence, inlaid in mother of pearl, a stand of plum in gold lacquer continued on the reverse, the interior cases nashiji; fitted with an ivory netsuke of flattened hexagonal form carved with the figure of a female immortal on the top and with musical instruments on the base, sides pierced, and with a coral bead ojime--2 5/8in.
