The first of fan shape decorated in iro-e hiramaki-e with phoenixes, cherry blossoms and wisteria sprays on a gold ground, the interior and base nashiji, the second of square shape with rounded corners decorated in takamaki-e with gold mokume and kirigane details with gold pine and red plum trees by a black and gold fence, the sides gyobu and the interior and base nashiji on a roiro ground--3.3.4 x 2½ x 1 1/8in. (9.3 x 6.3 x 2.8cm.) and 3 x 3 x ¾in. (7.5 x 7.5 x 2.3cm.), the second with losses to gyobu and kirigane (2)
