Constructed in two parts, one stacking on the other, decorated in gold hiramaki-e and kirigane with sparrows and leafing bamboo on a ground of silver hirame and brown lacquer, the interior, fitted with gilt copper handles, locks and hinges chased with foliage, roiro top of lower section splitting--42¾in. (113.5cm.) high, 36¼in. (92cm.) wide, 16½in. (41.9cm.) deep
