A SILVER TWO HANDLED COVERED TEA URN, maker's mark of Gorham, also stamped COIN, no. 120, circa 1860, lacking burner, vase form with waisted neck on molded circular base raised on four frond flanked foliate scroll supports, fronds repeated on the join to the highly upraised openwork handles, the front engraved with name and date 1860 the panelled spout with bone and silver baluster handle, the detachable part highly domed cover topped by frosted and beaded baluster finial--16½in. (41.9cm.) high, gross weight 60oz.
