DOUBLE NO HITTER
On May 17, 1917 Fred Toney and James "Hippo" Vaughn pitched the only double no-hit game in baseball history. In the tenth inning, hits by Larry Kopf and Jim Thorpe produced the only run of the game. Included in this lot are photographs of the two pitchers, Thorpe and Orth, the umpire of the game. (4)
