QIANLONG SEAL MARK AND OF THE PERIOD

Finely potted with rounded sides rising to a flared rim, enamelled and painted on the exterior with four mandarin ducks swimming, divided by lotus sprays and reeds, all above a band of blue lotus lappets at the base, the interior roundel with a pair of ducks in a lotus pond

Lot Essay

Cf. a similar bowl included in the Exhibition of Ch'ing Porcelain from the Wah Kwong Collection, Hong Kong, 1973, Catalogue, no. 90. A similar pair was sold in these Rooms, 8 October 1990, lot 515; another pair from the Edward T. Chow Collection was sold in Hong Kong, 25 November 1980, lot 129.
