Inlaid overall with boxwood lines, the rectangular hinged top with two further hinged sections, one with a front flap and enclosing the keyboard and satinwood-panelled sides,with oval name-board inscribed 'Adam Bener. London Fecit 1787 Compton Street SOHO'. and five octaves, above a plain frieze, on square tapering legs, with plaque to the interior inscribed in ink 'Repaired by A. Roberts Birmingham. 1905', later side stretchers
