painted and gilt with a central jardiniere of peonies on a terrace, within a border of shaped cartouches of ho-o in flight alternating with retreats in fenced gradens of plantain and blossoming trees, all on a kiku head and scrolling foliage ground -- 21½in. (54.5cm.) diam, circa 1700, (minor firing fault).
