Probable third edition of Ampre's collection of his papers on electrodynamics, with the new title Recueil d'observations and additional articles. The text is printed from the same typesetting as the preceding lot through p. 250, which is followed by p. 252 (printed on the recto of an unsigned quire s4, the following pages also imposed with the odd numbers on versos and even numbers on rectos, v being blank, and p. 259 opening the next quire). This section contains de la Rive's article, expanded with notes by Ampre and consequently reset. Additional material at the end includes Ampre's "Second mmoire sur la dtermination de la formule qui reprsente l'action mutuelle de deux portions infiniment petites de conducteurs voltaques" (pp. 293-318), plus a supplement to the article ("Additions au mmoire prcdent," pp. 319-324); an Expos mthodique des phnomnes lectro-dynamiques by Ampre (pp. 325-344); a resume of a paper read by Savary to the Acadmie des Sciences on 3 February 1823 (pp. 345-356), and a table of contents (pp. [357]-359), concluding with an errata page.
