Rectangular black boîte-à-mouches, the cover inlaid with a flowerspray in two-colour gold and silver piqué posé, within a border of foliate c-scrolls alternating with flowerheads in the same technique, the gold thumbpiece stamped with a rose and engraved with a diaper pattern and scrolls, the base incrusted with a flowerspray, the inside of the cover applied with a mirror, the base with a vacant compartment for a brush and with two compartments with hinged lids, for glue and patches, the two lids inlaid with flowersprays in piqué posé
