Banded overall with beaded lines, the rectangular top above a tambour cylinder enclosing a fitted interior with six pigeon-holes, seven variously-sized mahogany and cedar-lined drawers and a green leather-lined writing-surface with hinged ratcheted slope, the writing-surface pulling forward, flanked on each side by a sliding cylinder panel, each with a star mount between an anthemion mount, above a long mahogany-lined drawer with central foliage mounts, flanked on each side by a panelled door with a star enclosing two part cedar-lined drawers, above a pair of yellow pleated-silk and brass trellis-panelled doors enclosing an adjustable shelf, flanked on each side by a further door enclosing an adjustable sliding shelf, on a plinth base with sunk modern castors, scratched on the back '46378', the top possibly reveneered and, if so, probably originally with a superstructure
