A CELADON JADE PEACH BOX AND COVER, AND A 'CHILONG' GROUP
18th century, and 17th/18th century
The first carved and pierced as a flattened peach issuing from a leafy gnarled branch, with a bat in flight deeply carved on the cover, the stone of a celadon tone with milky clouding and russet inclusions, shallow rim chips; the second carved and pierced with two miniature vessels standing on a base composed of crested and swirling waves, with three chilong clambering up the sides, a flaming pearl between the vessels, the stone of even celadon tone with russet inclusions, the surface overall with a soft polish, minute nicks
