KORYUSAI (fl. ca 1768-1788): oban tate-e (37.7 x 25.7cm.); from the series Hinagata wakana no hatsu moyo [Model patterns of early spring greens] with the courtesan Hayama of the Asahimaruya, looking at the lining of a haori held up by two kamuro, Takeno and Mumeno, showing a design of Mount Fuji, signed Buko Yagenbori Inshi Koryu ga, published by Nishimuraya Yohachi--good impression and good colour, slightly rubbed, backed binding holes
