Engraved title by E.Monfort, engraved map of North Africa, medallion portrait and 8 plates by E.S.Carmona, J.Ballester, F.Assenio and others after M.S.Maella and others, 7 headpieces, 5 culs-de-lampe and 27 vignettes. Contemporary French red straight-grained morocco gilt, covers with narrow roll-tool border, the flat spine divided into six sections, lettered in the second, the others with alternate vase and stylised wheel tool, gilt turn-ins, g.e. (some scuffing, small repaired tears, light discolouration to leather). Provenance: Reuben J.Dussaut (bookplate).
