A large Ming gilt-bronze model of a seated Bodhisattva
in dhyanasana, the right hand in vitarka mudra and the left in dhyanamudra, wearing an elanorate crown with tall foliate projection and central lotus flower, floral earings, and similar beaded neclaces, the edges of the robes incised with running bands of lotus, on a possibly related overlapping lotus-petal base above a pierced hexagonal stand with breaking waves -- 30in. (76.2cm.) high, 16th/17th Century, (general wear and degradation).
