A Fine Nepalese Kukri
Late 19th Century
With single-edged leaf-shaped blade, and turned bone hilt, in original scabbard covered with red velvet with deep silver locket and chape, the former embossed, pierced and chased with addorsed angels and foliage, with a gold panel chased with foliage and set with a diamond above, the latter embossed and chased with borders of foliage, and with leather side-pocket containing two bone-handelled by-knives and retained by a plaited silver strap with butterfly clasp
