With single-edged spadroon blade (lightly pitted) with wide central fuller on each face, the gilt brass half-basket hilt (gilding mostly rubbed off) with short straight quillons terminating in dogs' heads, boatshell guard supporting a knuckle-guard and three S-shaped diagonal bars on the outside, dog's head pommel, and wooden fishskin-covered grip bound with copper wire
