18th/19th Century, Indian or Turkish, in the European style
With recurved single-edged blade back-edged at the point, and reinforced back inlaid in gold with a small heart, silver bolster engraved with foliage, and ivory handle carved as a perched eagle, in original velvet-covered scabbard with silver mounts comprising locket with frog-stud engraved with spread eagles against a hatched ground, and chape embossed with foliage involving peacocks
