the octagonal-shaped horizontal plate engraved with scrolls and flowers, the compass box with silvered dial and blued-iron needle, with folding latitude arc, the hour ring with spring-loaded pin gnomon, the pierced plummet support complete with plummet, the underside engraved with the latitudes of nine continental cities and towns and signed And.
