signed on the base Troughton & Simms LONDON Sig.l, Survey, the telescope with rack and pinion focusing, four wire adjusters, extension piece, bubble level located in twin supports over the limb, with vertical half-circle incorporating a silvered scale, single vernier with magnifier, raised on the horizontal plate by twin 'V' supports, the base plate with level and cross bubble over the chamfered silvered scale, with two verniers and magnifiers, tangent-screw fine adjustment and clamp, raised on a four-screw tripod attachment, in fitted mahogany case with two brass carrying handles, inscribed 7IN.
