with unlagged cylinder approx. 1½in. bore x 1in. stroke, studded stuffing boxes, pedastal mounted slipper type crosshead guide, barrelled connecting rod, pedestal mounted main bearings, 'V' belt pulley (probably for a governor drive) and spoked flywheel, finished in green, wood mount -- 13½in. (34.3cm.) long; and a mainly brass model hand operated mechanism for changing track points or opening level crossing gates, unpainted, and mounted on wood and slate, with red/white signal disc and brass plate embossed Société Anonyme pour l'exploitation des BREVETS VANNESTE LEVIER DE MANOEUVRE MODELE -- 11¾in.
