A finely engineered exhibition standard 1½in. scale model of the Allchin Tulip single cylinder, two speed, four shaft general purpose traction engine Reg. No. FU 7483 'Royal Chester', built by D. Machin, 1989,
with brazed copper boiler with fittings including water guage with glass protector and shut-off cocks, pressure guage, safety, blower, injector, water lift, clack and blowdown valves; engine details include cylinder 1¼in. bore x 1½in. stroke, footplate controlled draincocks and pipework, studded stuffing boxes, trunk type crosshead guide with draincocks, Foster mechanical lubricator, valve chest displacement lubricator, Stephenson's link reverse, eccentric driven feed pump and bypass, two road speeds and flywheel; chassis details include spoked, shaked wheels, sprung front axle, spud pan, worm and roller chain steering, footplate controlled damper, cable drum, cable and fourleads, water lift with suction pipe and rose, band brake to fourth shaft, injector, oil pots and ipes, wooden footboard with padlocked tool box under, firing irons and jack, tank level test cocks, lamps, bucket and other details, finished in maroon, red and brown with red, yellow and black lining and polished brightwork -- 16 x 25in.
