A well engineered 2in. scale model of a Burrell 8 N.H.P. Special Scenic Road Locomotive,
with brazed copper boiler with water and pressure gauges, safety, blower, injector, waterlift, simpling clack and blowdowen valves (grate and ashpan missing). Engine details include cylinders approx. 1in. and 1¾in. bores x 2in. stroke, bar type crosshead guides, footplate controlled draincocks and pipework, mechanical lubricator, Stephenson's link reverse, counterbalanced crankshaft with three roadspeeds, gear and eccentric driven feedpump, disc flywheel with hand-operated rim brake and belt driven main (dummy) and exciter dynamos. Chassis details include spoked wheels with vulcanised rubber tyres and brass hubcaps, sprung front axle, worm and roller chain steering, cable drum, cable, fairleads and crane tower driver's seat, hand-operated brake to rear wheels, belly and tender tanks, water lift, tool boxes, full length canvas covered canopy supported on brass 'barley sugar' columns, extension chimney and other details, finished in maroon, red, black and yellow, with some yellow lining and polished brightwork -- 23½ x 47in. (59 x 119.5cm.).
