Maker's mark of Elkington & Co., Birmingham, 1849
The slightly waisted necked, inverted ovoid, on circular pedestal base, with chased floral and fruit band, the body with broad frieze of chased flowers, fruit, trelliswork and rocaille, enclosed by foliate scrolls and centering vacant asymmetrical cartouche, with part foliate and reeded scroll handle, the cover with artichoke finial--14in. (36.1cm.) high, gross weight (insulators) 29oz.
