Circa 1720, iron-red M mark to base
Painted with the flaying of Marsyas and Diana appearing to Pan within mountainous wooded landscape vignettes above iron-red foliage scrolls, the hinged pewter cover with ball thumbpiece (slight chip to lower terminal of handle, minute chipping to rims, some glaze crazing, slight firing discolouration)
