Lot Essay

Charles Godfrey Mundy (d. 1838) of Burton Hall, Leicestershire, was the second son of Francis Noel Clarke Mundy (b. 1739) of Markeaton, Leicestershire, and his second wife Elizabeth (d. 1807), only daughter of Sir Robert Burdett, 4th Bt.. In 1806 he married Harriet Massingberd (d. 1864), only daughter and sole heir of Charles Burrell Massingberd, of Ormsby, Lincolnshire and his first wife Anne, daughter and heir of William Blackall, of Braziers, in the parish of Checkenden, Oxfordshire, and had issue.
