The funeral of the renowed huntsman Thomas Moody in 1796 was to become a legend in the sporting world. On his deathbed Moody's last request was that at his funeral 'three rattling view halloas' should be sent up by the assembled company of sportsmen. Pollard, with his meticulous attention to detail, depicts the cortge of sportsmen as they make their way to the church at Barrow, near Wenlock.
