The gilt chain fusee movement with engraved cock, diamond endstone and blued steel helical spiral, two armed Z balance with monometallic outer compensation arms, Arnold spring detent escapement, the detent sunk into the top plate, jewelled to the second with screwed chatons, blued steel set up, dust shroud to the winding arbor, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals, large subsidiary seconds, blued steel spade hands, in plain silver consular case, casemaker's mark TH for Thomas Hardy, with contemporary mahogany two tier observation box with ebony and brass stringing and numbered plaque, dial and movement signed, case, dial and movement numbered
