A PALE CELADON JADE ARCHAISTIC BULBOUS JAR
18th century
Of oval section, the exterior delicately carved in low relief with two large roundels enclosing a phoenix and dragon in mutual pursuit around a taiji circle, divided by smaller phoenix roundels and archaistic chilong motifs, all below a band of scroll medallions at the sloping shoulder, the stone of a translucent pale celadon colour with some grey streaks and freckles
