Bowl Late Muromachi (Early 16th Century) Mounting Edo Period (18th Centry)
The sixteen plate iron bowl of slightly akoda form with sharply downturned peak the surface lacquered a dull reddish brown with a copper butterfly maedate [fore crest], lacquered with a stippled effect in a similar colour, the black lacquered iron five lame ichi manju jikoro [neckguard] laced with green sugake odoshi [spaced lacing], the fukigayeshi covered with stamped and lacquered leather, copper gilt fukrin and a mon [badge]
