A military fan the end plates of wood lacquered black with gold lacquered mon the papers gold with a red sun on one side and red with a gold sun on the other, Edo period (late 18th century); together with the shafts for two saihai, one black lacquered with gold and black mon each end silver mounted the other copper mounted the shaft overlaid with strips of mother of pearl, Edo period (late 18th century); a large gilded representation of Daikoku's mallet from the top of an umajirushi and an undershirt of hexagonal leather plates joined, stitched to hemp cloth lined with dark blue silk and with pale blue crepe silk outside, the cord connections in ivory, Edo Period (mid 18th century); and a jimbaori, the rich brocade displaying a bold dragon in gold on a purple ground, the facing of peach silk with a design of peony and leaves in gold lined with plain white, cloth Edo period (late 18th century) (5)
