Circular, with the Russian exhortation 'From the Heights of Science it is easier to see the Dawn of the new Day than from below amidst the Mists of everyday Life' encircling the hammer and sickle in gold, red and black Cyrillic lettering, the centre on white ground, the rim on blue, after a design by S. Chekhonin, marked under base
9.5/8in. (24.5cm.) diam.
