The case with breakarch hood with outset brass-capped part fluted columns, glazed side panels, with breakarch trunk door and on stepped plinth, the silvered dial with engraved foliate scroll spandrels, subsidiary seconds ring and date aperture to the centre, also signed William Pearse PLYMOUTH, mounted with a later lunette arch painted with a scene of ships at sea, replaced seatboard to the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement; dial adapted, dial and movement associated to case, last quarter 18th century
