The narrow case decorated with chinoiserie reserves against a cream ground, the hood with pagoda top and ooutset baluster columns, with arched trunk door, the plinth raised on bracket feet, the brass dial mask and foliate spandrels to the silvered chapter ring with matted centre, a silvered disc in the centre inscribed Tempus Fugit, with further inscription to lower edge of dial DIAL AND CASE MADE IN ENGLAND MOVEMENT MADE IN FRANCE, the twin barrel movement with strike on bell
