The case with breakarch hood with circular side panels within moulded slips (one damaged, one detached), brass stop-fluted chamfered angles, with arched trunk door, the plinth with panelled front and on stepped skirting (losses to veneers, left side section lacking), the 11in. diameter silvered dial with subsidiary seconds ring to the centre, signed John & Janet Gray Marchmont Street LONDON, moon hands (oxidized), the five pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement
