A late 16th-Century ivory and fruitwood diptych dial,
possibly by Konrad Karner, the cover with punched calendar scales, decorated in the corners with red-stained neo-classical motifs, the inner face of the cover with hour dial in Roman numerals, the horizontal face with hour dial and compass, the blued-iron needle with brass cap, the base punched on the underside with the maker's mark of a hand, with single hook and eye -- 1.7/8in. (4.8cm.) long
